Already been skiing a couple of times with the wife and two kids (10yr old boy and 7yr old girl). Did apartment in Livigno (was so-so) and hotel in Kitzbuhel (great). Looking for advice for early February this year. Here's what I'm looking for :
Good intermediate skiing ;
2hr lessons in morning, lunch then 2 hr lessons in afternoon ;
3-4 star hotel that does a family room ;
Decent flight times and short transfers (< 2hrs if possible)
Preferably Austria but willing to look elsewhere.
Anyone got any suggestions ?
My 2 cents. Courmayeur, Italy.

SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser is a great location , covering
Brixen im Thale

Going
Hopfgarten
Itter
Kelchsau
Scheffau
Soll
Westendorf
It's about 1 hour from Innsbruck or Salzburg 2 hours from Munich. It's close enough to Kitzbuehl, where you've been before.

Greener, where else have you skied ? Did you like those resorts ? Ryanair fly into a fair few places in France and Italy that could save you some money. Plus you could spend the money you save on the flight and put it towards babysitters and enjoy more snow time yourself. Well that's how I would approach it anyway .

The brother swears by Kaprun in Austria, they have a kids club there : http://www.skimituns.at it costs about €150 for a kid per week, which is well worth it. Also the classes were in English and the groups size was kept under 10.

I would leave the kids at home (if possible). I know that sounds cruel, but it would seriously lead to a different type of holiday. *
* I don't currently have little ones so maybe I am be un-realistic.
