Hi all!

I'm looking for information what I need to be an skiing instructor in Ireland?
I'm good skier and tutor, but have no papers.

1. What exactly I need? (Like first AID, etc)
2. Where I could do that around Dublin?
3. How much it could cost?
4. How long it takes to get insturctor licence for the firs level? to be an istructor on the slopes?
5. Is there any difference in papers between skiing and snowboarding instructor?

I appreciate any advice! Thank you! :)

Hi Staysys, welcome to the board !

I do know that the Ski Club Ireland (http://www.skiing.ie/forum/irish-ski-club/) does training courses for these.

You might want to contact a member on here that I know is a qualified ski instructor, namely raul (http://www.skiing.ie/forum/members/raul.html).

Anyone else a qualified ski instructor ?

Try getting in touch with IASI (irish Association of Snow Sports Instructors). They run courses to qualify instructors. Their website is Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (http://www.iasisnowsports.ie)

Hi Staysys,

You're a bit late for this year certification : Irish Association Of Snowsports Instructors - Course Dates 08/09 (http://www.iasisnowsports.ie/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=36&Itemid=58)

I'm not certified in Ireland Paul ( yet ) although I've got in touch with IASI a while back and I was told that it is easy to get my certification recognized here. Unfortunately in the mean time one kid came and now one on the way ( :) ) so ... I'll be lucky if I even kiss the snow for few days this winter
