Snowboardin' or Skiing

I'm big into da Snowboard, I've gone fer the last 4 years, 3 times in France and once in Austria. I think I like Austria better for the apre ski partying.

Anyway are you a snowboarder or are you a skiier ? Has anyone moved from one to the other ? I've only done boaring, because my friends did it. Two years ago I start with tricks and thats kept me more than a busy boy. Next year doing a 360° is my goal and maybe something more dangerous ;)

I'm a snowboarder too. I don't think I would go back and spend the time and money on learning how to ski, especially when I can snowboard already.

I'm not really into tricks, I just like going fast ! Last year I rented a race board for one day instead of the normal freestyle boards and it was great (once I learned not to turn on the back side).

I've heard that snowboarding is easier to master but harder to pick up and skiing is the opposite. If you are starting out snowboarding it could take you 3 days until you can do turns, but after that you should be okay and learn pretty quickly. Where as for skiing you can go on easy slopes pretty soon, but having a good style, i.e. going over moguls is another thing.

I've done both, skiing and snowboarding and I pick depending on the day's conditions and what the group is doing. I like to board in fresh powder :D !

I'm a skier at heart. I don't think I could strap my two feet onto just one piece of wood/metal. And in the flat areas skiers rock !

I'm a skier too. We folk have grace and we can use the poles to help us get through the flatter places !

I'm a skier, I've been skiing for the last 5 seasons, in France and Austria. I love the snow and the fresh air and doing something outdoors. Plus apreski is a great way to end a day.

I tried snowboaring once and I failed miserably. All I had for my days efforts was a sore bum/wet and tired wrists. I will stick to my poles from now on.

I come from a mixed family, I'm a skier and herself is a snowboarder ! The kids have both done skiing though. As it's easier for them to do that when they are little.
