You are planning now for next year ? Does this mean that the kid is inside you at the moment and is due in Feb ? At least you are planning ahead.

As for places to go, flying from Cork. I'd say you will have to go with some charter service, the only regular flights are to Munich and to Nice, and you would have to drive maybe 2 hours to get to the mountains from there . See http://www.corkairport.com/flight_info/

http://www.crystalski.ie do offer charter flights from Cork to the snow. There are some other comments in this thread here : http://www.skiing.ie/forum/discussion/24/first-time-skiing-young-family/

let me know how you get on !

If I were you I would either see if you could wait for a few more years, until the little one can go with you. Or I would see if anyone could mind you kid for the week. A ski resort isn't that much fun with a young kid.

Personally I wouldn't bring a child under 4 with me to the snow. But after the age of 4 they could probably do well enough in kiddy-ski-school.

My niece learned at the age of 5 and was up and running after two trips to the snow. Bringing children really does change the type of ski holiday you have ;)
