I'm wondering what types of things do people do before they ski? I mean do people warm up, I'm thinking you should as it's like any other sport.
Here is what I read on another forum:
1) I like to start with head and neck first by rotating my head a little, this helps me to wake up.
2) Then I do arms and shoulders, rolling them a bit.
3) Hips and back are next, like a dance
4)Finally the tights and knees!

The idea is to allow muscles and joints to "be prepared"! The very best way also is to always ski easy down an very easy run first, regardless how good you are! Ski loose allowing skis to glide with no major effort! And As you go up chair lift skis in vertical position and drop them down every so often ! If in gondola, I will do isometric activity! This also insures that you stay warm when you are starting off.
You would be a lot less likely to injure yourself if you did some of this before you started every day.

I find walking with my ski boots on enough warming up ! Or picking yourself off the ground when you fall flat on your face also is something that will get the blood going.

I normally take the first two runs that little bit easier to get myself warmed up. You don't really need to do all this stretching IMHO.

I'm new to skiing and I have to say this sounds like good advice...my legs were killing the day after my first skiing session!
