Skiing.IE (http://www.skiing.ie/) has teamed up with SkiSet.com (http://www.skiing.ie/discount-equipment/), where you can rent skis or snowboards on your holiday. They offer about €30 off the regular rental prices, I checked the price for skis for advanced skiers and it was €132/week rather than €165 which is the normal price if you walk up on your arrival. Generally the aim to offer deals that should save you 20% on your booking.

The skis will be reserved and ready for your arrival, to insure that you can get to the slopes ASAP on the first morning of your holiday.

I am always amazed how much these places get away with charging for ski equipment. Normally you can get back the price over 3 or 4 weeks worth of rentals. Maybe you don't need to buy it the first time you go, try it out a little. Then if you think you will be going skiing in the following years, then you should really think of getting your own gear.
