FALL boards
11-07-2011, 12:30 PM
FALL is a new Irish snowboard and ski apparel company (and bespoke longboards....). Owned and run by snowboard and ski fanatics. We are stoked to invite everyone to the Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Jam, in association with QUB snow sports. We want to build the local scene and develop regular freestyle nights.

Competitions with FALL apparel give aways, soundtracked by the majestic DJ Shinra. Competitions will range from spin to win to the egg and spoon race...which will be ludicrous.

Everyone is welcome, from the sic-tacular steazonaire to those just dipping their toe in the snow. Gear can be hired at the slope. This will be a great way to get your ski legs back before the winter season starts, especially as the trip you've been waiting all year for comes tantalisingly close. If last year is anything to go by, we might even have snow on the night!

Apres Ski party upstairs in the parlour. Free shots and resort style drinking games with more prizes. Lets get ready for winter 11/12!

Let me know of any questions / suggestions you might have. and check out our facebook page -

Sounds like a fun event conor.

It's in Craigavon for people wondering, and I guess the bus goes from Belfast ?

Cheers Paul, it'll be nice to get a crowd together!

The bus is running from Queens Student Union and back. The pick up time is 6.30 and the return drop will be roughly 10.30 having left Craigavon at 9.45.

The ticket includes the two hour freestyle session, the bus and entry to upstairs in The Parlour.

Any requests and suggestions for the night will definitly be taken on board (no pun!). Especially any music requests or comp ideas.

Conor

It's just south of Lough Neagh http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?center=Craigavon&zoom=9&size=600x500&maptype=roadmap&markers=&sensor=false
and near enough to Belfast & Lisburn

There is also a freestyle session every Friday night at the Ski Club of Ireland, on both snowflex and Dendix with 12 features and a drop.

Might be a little easier to get to from cork. Cost for the evening is a practice session at the Ski Club (Includes equipment rental.)

That's right I believe there is freestyle up there, didn't know it was 2 days a week. It's not good imo to do freestyle up there because of the surface. It's alot better now though with the snowflex, much more forgiving than the death trap stuff. The snowflex stuff is great, pity it's only on the nursery slope though.
