Irvine, California, USA Summer freeride snowboarding.

Hi fellow boarders,

Could anyone suggest what would be my best bet for:

Weekend snowboarding
preferably freeriding
in June
at a ski-site within few hours drive from Irvine, California
or within a short comercial flight from Irvine, California
that won't cost an arm-and-a-leg ?

Any suggestions ?

To be honest I don't know, I wonder if there are any high mountains in the area. I don't think there are glaciers in the US. So I think you may be out of look for year round skiing. Or are you thinking of artificial slopes ?

Skiing in June ? http://www.mammothmountain.com/index.cfm is near irvine (via google) Lift tickets are now $64 for adults, $47 for youth (13-18) and $32 for children and seniors (7-12 and 65-79).
