I went to La Plagne last year and it was great. It's joined to Les Arcs, in case you don't know where abouts it is. Here is some info from wikipedia
La Plagne has 225 kilometers (140 mi) of slopes (134 slopes : 15 black (expert), 30 red (advanced), 72 blue (intermediate) and 10 green (beginner)), and an immense off-skiing area, with great spots like Bellecôte's North Face.
What I liked was the nice wide pistes and the aprés ski. I really wanted to do the Bobsleigh (mono one) http://www.la-plagne.com/en/bobsleigh_fr.phtml and I was prepared to pay the €95 for the pleasure, but I had left it too late to book. :(
