Hi there,

Sorry about not coming back to you on this question!! I am only getting back into this now When I did the bobsleigh in Norway it was with trained professionals. About 4 of us did it together. I don't think I would've had the nerves to do it if it on my own anyway! It was definitely worth doing though and the speed!! Lucky I wasn't drinking the night before

Go team Ireland. I'm surprised that we even have a team due the lack of snow and mountains (apart from this year that is).

FYI : there was an article last weekend about the Irish ski team, http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...263544572.html
about Shane O'Connor who will be competing in the slalom event. Fair play to him for having a full time job and training for the Olympics !

So the first day is under way, but it will be Monday before we see any Irish Olympians competing.
Here is the rough schedule that I got from Olympic Council
  • Monday 15th : PJ, Cross Country
  • Thursday 18th : Pat, Skeleton
  • Friday 19th : Pat, Skeleton
  • Saturday 20th : Kirsty Super G
  • Tuesday 23rd : Aoife & Claire Bob
  • Wednesday 24rd : Aoife & Claire Bob / Kirsty Giant Slalom
  • Friday 26th : Kirsty Slalom
  • Saturday 27th : Shane Slalom
